so in the 9th line or so it gives a reference to G72 which I was a little confused by~. The explanation was this:
"72. V -(은)ㄴ 적이 있어요/ 없어요. “ Have done / Haven’t done “ (About experience in the past)
This is used to express if you have a particular experience or not in the past. When the verb stem ends in a consonant, add 은 적이 있어요./ 없어요. When ending in a vowel or ㄹ, add ㄴ 적이 있어요/ 없어요. Without 요 at the end, it becomes a casual talk and its infinitive form is V-(은)ㄴ 적이 있다/ 없다.
그 N: that N 영화: movie 보다: to watch 한국 음식: Korean food 먹다: to eat
그 영화를 본 적이 없어요. (formal) -> I haven’t watched that movie.
한국 음식 먹어 본 적이 있어. ( casual) -> I have eaten Korean food."
In the first example, I wondered what 본 was before I realized it was 보다(to watch/see) + ㄴ to make the sentence "I haven’t watched that movie." Which made perfect sense, so I thought I could follow the pattern of just adding ~은/ㄴ 적이 있어/없어 to the verb. But in the next example, 보다 was used again :/:/
"한국 음식 먹어 본 적이 있어. ( casual) -> I have eaten Korean food." Even though the verb is 'to eat,' not 'to see' -- what the sentence looks like to me is 'I have eaten seen Korean food'
What confused me further was that 본 is also in the song lyrics:
느껴본 적 없는 L.O.V.E when I thought it should be 느껸 적없는 L.O.V.E. following the formula ㅠ.ㅠ
Am I forgetting something? What am I missing? Could you please please please explain it for me?
Thank you for your comments. I should have made it separately to avoid confusion so I got grammar No. 72 updated. Please check.
Also , According to your understanding , it should be 느낀 적 없는 instead of 느껸 적 없는 because that grammar takes the stem part of a verb. ( 느끼다 : to feel )
While the other one I got just updated takes cojugated part like 아 /어 /해 .You can check in the grammae page. If you have a question again , please feel free to leave a message again. Thank you.
